St. John's offers a comprehensive music program for all ages. From September through May, three vocal choirs provide special music during worship services. During the summer months and at special services throughout the year, individuals and small groups are encouraged to share their vocal and instrumental talents.
Two handbell choirs perform regularly at church services and community events. The Youth Bell Choir, open to students in 4th through 12th grade, helps young musicians develop their handbell skills while performing increasingly challenging music. The Adult Bell Choir performs advanced repertoire and is recognized as one of the premier handbell choirs in the region.
The entire music ministry is led by James H. Bieber, Organist and Director of Music, who studied at the Eastman School of Music. Through his leadership, St. John's music program continues to inspire worship and enrich the congregation's spiritual life.
Whether you enjoy listening or would like to participate, we invite you to join our musicians as they offer praise and glory to God through the gift of music.
